Concert Pianist to Play at Fundraising Event

Independent Network endorsed independent candidate Cllr Diane Park is holding a fundraising concert next week in Yorkshire with acclaimed concert pianist Jonathan Starkey.

The event will take place on Sunday 28th March from 2-5pm at the Sowood Masonic Lodge, Birdcage Lane, Halifax, Yorkshire. Tickets are priced at £15 and the price includes a glass of wine.

Jonathan Starkey studied at the prestigious Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and has previously worked in production for EMI and Universal. He is currently a broadcaster and composer and is also standing for Parliament as an independent in Ellesmere Port & Neston.

Cllr Park is standing as an independent candidate for Halifax and she arranged this event to help fund her campaign. Standing for Parliament can be an expensive business - even a modest campaign will cost around £5000.

Diane Park, a local councillor for Calderdale Council, believes that our current political system is broken. Standing as an independent enables her to better represent her constituents.

The Independent Network is currently endorsing candidates to provide a mark of quality for independents. The endorsement process helps the electorate to know that a group of people have assessed the candidates and judged them to be good quality representatives. All endorsed candidates have agreed to abide by The Bell Principles, a code of conduct for independent representatives.

If you would like to attend the event, contact directly Diane directly on 07984473015 and by email on dipark@sky.com
