I was born in Iran where I lived till I was 19 when I left and came to South Shields to study and work in the merchant navy.
From 1971 till 1978 I was studying and working in South Shields before getting married to a local girl and then returned back to Iran.
Between 1978 and 1981 I continued to lived in Iran, but due to a change of circumstances I decided to return to South Shields where I set my new home and business.
Since my return to South Shields, I became self employed and ran a few different businesses, which were mostly in catering until 2006.
I have always been interested in politics, but never became actively involved because I could not give it my full attention due to my business activities.
After selling the business, I have had more time to think about current issues in British politics - especially the misuse of supporters’ votes for the promotion of the party machine with minimum or no benefits for the constituencies!! With this in mind I decided to actively get involved in politics by standing in the next parliamentary election as an independent.
I strongly believe in social policies which support and promote all aspects of creating a prosperous, just, safe and secure society.
With this view in mind, I can be a more effective MP to assist with the approval of legislation without the interference from political parties.
I am prepared to accept any invitation to attend meetings for discussing any important issues in further detail by any interested individual or groups in South Shields.
My main priority issues are:
Economy – I support a more regulated economic policy
NHS and Education - A decentralised, but local authority controlled NHS and Education services
Crime - Longer sentencing for violent criminals and additional support for victims and their family
Foreign policy - A more balanced foreign policy to show the world that we are not taking sides in any international or regional conflicts
